T.H.O.M.A.S. is a charity based in the North West of England working at the cutting edge of social exclusion providing therapuetic and practical support to the drug addict, ex-offender, homeless and others suffering various kinds of social exclusion through several projects. T.H.O.M.A.S. is actively involved with the ethnic communities in Lancashire.

Our Vision-

The T.H.O.M.A.S. Organisation enters into dialogue with many people who suffer different forms of social exclusion. Our aim is to give such people a voice within society.

Empowerment and practical support is also given particularly to those who are young, homeless, addicted to drugs and involved in crime.

Our whole ethos is the respect for the dignity of the whole person and reconciliation between peoples.

Programmes and Activities-

Drug Rehabilitation Unit - providing a sixteen week residential rehabilitation course for clients from prison and the community.

Floating Support Scheme - providing community support to the disadvantaged including housing issues and guidance in general.

Empowered Group - A Drama Workshop providing drug education to schools & youth groups. The actors all have first hand experience of drug addiction and have turned around their lives.

EDGES Magazine - a national publication giving a voice to the marginalised and providing a forum for discussion of topical issues in the arena of social exclusion.

Drop-in Centre- providing a hot meal and a chat for the homeless and needy. Up to 70 people a day.

International Project - T.H.O.M.A.S. supports a small international project each year across the globe. This year India is our focus. We are supporting a drug and alcohol project there.
